With online orders you can have pick-up slots. In this article we go over how to configure those.
Slots are managed under Company -> Locations.
Start by clicking on the location in question and then expanding Slots. (If you haven't already set your location opening hours, start by doing that.)
Slots has four fields that can be configures; Wait time, Max sales per slot, Interval between slots, and Pause between slots.- Wait time controls when the first available slot is. If left blank or at 0 min then the first available slot is 30 min from when you are making an order.
- Max sales per slot controls the total amount that can be sold per slot. Lets say you set it to 15.000 kr.
- A customer makes an order totaling 10.000 kr and chooses 13:00 (1PM) as there pick up time. Another customers order totals 6.000 kr and they choose the same slot. However, the next customer will not be able to choose the 13:00 pick-up time because the two previous orders total 15.000kr or more and therefore close that particular slot. Keep in mind that only online orders affect this, not POS sales.
- Interval between slots controls the frequency of the slots. By default they are every 15 min. This means that the slots or available pick-up times are e.g. 13:00, 13:15, 13:30, 13:45, etc.
- Pause between slots adds as the name implies, a pause between slots (should not be used for online ordering).
- Lets say you have event bookings and each booking is 50 min but you want 10 min between bookings for e.g. clean-up. Then you set pause between slots to 10min.
