How to create a coupon code

In this article we go over how to create a coupon code

1. Go to Promotions → Coupons

2. Click on Create one

3. There are four sections

   1. Basic Info

   2. Limitations

   3. Redemptions

   4. Time Settings

4. Fill out all three fields in Basic Info.

   1. You can either create your own code or have the system generate a random code by clicking the button the right of this field.

   2. The name will appear in the customers cart and on their receipt.

   3. Description is only internal

5. Under limitations your can limit your coupon to a specific coupon item, location and/or customer.

   1. All three must already exists in order to limit the coupon to. That is the coupon item, location and customer.

6. Under redemptions you set how many times the coupon can be used and the discount if provides.

   1. Max redemptions; leave blank if the coupon can be used indefinitely

   2. Percent off; how much discount the code provides

7. Under Time Settings you can limit when the code is active. For example, if you wish for the code to only be active on Wednesdays you choose Wednesday under Weekdays active.
