      How to create a gift card product

      In this article you will find step-by-step instructions on how to create a gift card product.

      Before creating your first gift card product, make sure that a gift card channel and a gift card payment method have already been set up. This is generally done by a SalesCloud agent.

      1. Log into you back office
      2. Navigate to Store -> Items
      3. Click on Add item, and choose Gift card.
      4. Give your gift card a unique SKU.
      5. Put the name of your gift card in the field labeled Title.
      6. Add the relevant Category (-ies).
      7. Add a description to your gift card. 
      8. Define the price of your gift card and the VAT category.
      9. Under Payment Instance choose the your gift card payment method (you can type in the field to find it faster).
      10. Set the validity of your gift card. By default it is set you 24 months.
      11. Check Send to customer.
      12. If you do not want discounts to work on this gift card, then check Exclude discounts. 
        This only refers to discounts online.
      13. Finally, Save your product.
