How to set up a Discount rule

Here you will find a summarized description on how to set up a Discount rule for a percentage discount on products.

1. Log in to admin.salescloud.is
2. Navigate to POS -> Discounts rules
3. Press + Add discount at the top of the page
4. In Admin Title give the discount a descriptive name.
5. After giving the discount and Admin Title, Machine name appears under the field, click on edit to modify the machine name. No to discounts can have the same machine name.
   1. Machine name example: discount_happyhour
6. Give the discount a Name, this is what is shown to the customer. 
7. Leave Sort order as is. 
8. Under discount type choose Product discount
9. In Order discount conditions you have the following options (e, f, and j are the most used conditions)
   1. User
   2. Products(s)
   3. Product type
   4. Product attributes
   5. Is Pos
   6. Day of the Week
   7. Item title
   8. Three for two
   9. Order as tag
   10. Between Hours
   11. Department
   12. Category
   13. Quantity
   14. Unit quantity
   15. Unit quantities
       
       
10. Under Apply to choose Is POS, then press Attach and condition and choose the condition relevant to your discount
    1. If a discount should be limited to certain products choose the condition Product(s) and in the field that appears define the product. Please note that if you put more than one product per rule than for the discount rule to work and order must contain all products. It is there for recommended to make one rule per product. 
    2. If you want to limit the discount to a weekday (e.g. every tuesday) choose Day of the week and check every week day the discount should apply
    3. or only certain times of day (e.g Happy Hour 16-18) choose Between hours and define the hours. Please note it can only be on the hour, e.g. 13 - 15.
11. Once you have defined all your conditions choose the offer type, kr (fixed amount) or % 
12. For offer type choose % off and set the percentage as you would like, 20 for 20% off. 
13. At the bottom you can choose if you want this discount rule to be compatible with other discounts or not. 
14. Now click on SAVE DISCOUNT
