The navigation panel in the back office has been simplified and improved.
Welcome to the latest update on the back office interface set to go live Monday, March 4th.
As part of our ongoing efforts to refine and improve your user experience, we've implemented several changes to the left-hand panel. This update aims to enhance navigation efficiency, making it easier for you to access the tools and features you need to manage your tasks effectively.
In this overview, we'll walk you through the modifications made, detailing what has been removed, what has been moved or renamed, and the rationale behind these adjustments. Our goal is to provide you with a clearer, more streamlined interface that empowers you to navigate with confidence and efficiency. Let's start with what has been removed
Appstore, Dash, Sites, and Developers have been removed as well as Pucks (Disks), Bulk edit, In checkout, Cancelled orders, and Widgets found under Store, Sales, and Company respectivly.
Appstore, Dash, Sites, and Developers
These have been removed as they no longer have any functionality behind them or can be accessed in other ways.
Pucks (Disks)
This no longer has any function.
Bulk edit
Before the change there was Bulk edit and Bulk edit (2). We have removed the former and renamed the latter Bulk edit items.
In checkout and Cancelled orders
These where found under Sales and listed all orders in those statuses. We removed them as you can filter by those statuses under Sales -> Orders.
Widgets
This no longer has any function.
What has been moved and/or renamed
Now lets go over the rest. Where have things been moved and what are the new names?
On the first level:
Bookings and Calendar have been moved together under a dropdown called Bookings.
Payments has been moved under Sales.
Store has been renamed Products.
Giftcards has been moved under a new section, Promotions, and renamed Gift cards.
Organizations has been moved under Company.
Staff and Work have been moved under a new section called Time tracking.
Subscriptions (only visible to you if you are selling subscription items) has been moved higher in the navigation.
Team has been moved under Company.
Billing has been moved under Company.
First level Reports has been removed as it also exists on the second level under Sales and on the Dashboard. Most of the reports below can be found under Sales -> Reports (formerly 'End of Day Reports') and/or are available as dash cubes on the Dashboard.

On the second level:
Tasks, previously found under Sales has been renamed POS task log and are now found under More.
Locations, previously found under Store has been moved under Company.
Tags, previously found under Store has been renamed Order Tags and has been moved under a new section called POS.
Discounts, previously found under Store has been renamed Discount Rules and moved under POS.
Coupons, previously found under Store has been moved under Promotions along with Gift cards and Yess Discounts.
Availability has been moved under More.
Yess discounts, previously found under Store has been moved under Promotions.

While some reports have been removed, their counterparts can still be accessed under Sales and in the Dashboard, ensuring that essential data remains readily available.
